FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE
Empowering wellness
Your functional roadmap to whole-body health
The Functional Wellness Approach
Functional medicine for personalised wellness
In 2014 I launched Functional Wellness, combining functional medicine principles, naturopathy, nutrition and mind-body therapies, to deliver transformational healing, blending the goodness of nature with cutting-edge science.
Functional Medicine Principles
Caring for and maintaining health requires integrating treatment methods, not separating them.
An in-depth understanding of how body systems function and work together is essential. I dig deep to identify underlying, root causes, internal and external, that throw our bodies off balance. By addressing root causes, the body is restored back to balance for optimal functioning.
Functional medicine considers each person’s unique biochemical factors based on individual genetics, physical makeup, environmental exposures and personal history are considered. Health is influenced by thoughts, emotions, diet and lifestyle choices, stress or trauma and shaped by the world we live in, so a holistic approach address all these factors also.
I take time to listen, hear your story, get to know you as a person. I analyse lab tests, genetics and often use functional testing to identify any infections, parasites, yeast, overgrowth, digestive and inflammatory markers, good and bad bacteria. By taking a 360-degree view of your health, skilled assessment of all information I connect the dots and address root causes.
Treatment often involves peeling back the layers of the onion. I love to teach and am passionate about empowering you to understand the reasoning behind my assessment and recommendations so that you can learn about your body. I support you in implementing changes, motivate and guide you towards achieving your health and wellness goals.
Health is a state of being whole.
To heal is to become whole.
"Whole-Body Health builds resiliency, a deep knowing and confidence in what we need to feel our best. With resilience, comes strength, hope, and the belief in your capacity to heal. We all fall and struggle sometimes, this doesn’t make us less healthy. As we accept our own imperfections, life’s challenges, we continue to learn, adapt and evolve towards true wellness:to Love Well, Live Well and Be Your Best Self."

I use personalised effective programs, holistic, integrated treatments, and support you to apply these changes into your life.
When creating your care plan, I collaborate with you to make nutritional, supplemental, herbal and dietary recommendations that fit your health needs, budget, preferences and lifestyle.
Personalised Care
Everyone is unique.
When you truly understand the person, treatment becomes simple and clear: this is the true nature of personalisation.
Whole-Body Wellness
Health is a state of physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. By treating the whole person, the whole body, the whole picture, you can achieve your full potential.
Holistic Therapies
Our bodies have an innate ability to self-regulate and return to balance. Using nutrition, diet, lifestyle, herbs, education, mind-body therapies, we harness the body’s natural healing abilities to restore balance.
Genetic Blueprint
Our genes are influenced by nutrition, environment, experiences, attitudes, beliefs, making it possible to change the activation and expression of certain genes. Knowing our genetic blueprint allows us to tailor nutrition, diet and lifestyle specifically to individual genes.
Integrated Healthcare
I work alongside GP’s, specialists, other healthcare practioners, and those needing medications to support better outcomes.
Analysis of relevant lab, genetic and functional testing provides comprehensive care.
